The UCI campus has five positive COVID-19 cases – four have been clinically cleared.

Reducing the spread of viruses starts with basic hygiene. Here are preventative measures that you can follow to keep our community healthy.
Always wash your hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. *It's not the water temperature, but the time you take rubbing the hands (20 seconds).
Cover your mouth with your elbow when you cough.
If you are sick, stay home and do not travel.Call ahead before visiting your doctor or the Student Health Center to arrange a time to be seen.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
The California Department of Health and the Orange County Health Car Agency both recommend face coverings for individuals who must leave their homes to perform essential activities, such as work.

UCI Medical Center is in urgent need of supplies for our frontline care providers and staff. To help, UCI School of Medicine students are hosting a personal protective equipment (PPE) drive from Monday, March 30 to Saturday, April 4.
