As your Human Resources (HR) team, a source for information and support, we are reaching out to provide you with the following HR updates:
Resumption of campus staff operations
Five workgroups on different aspects of resuming work at campus have completed their work and submitted recommendations. These recommendations are being reviewed with the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG). Resumption of research operations will be a top priority. Timing of the return to campus is not available and is dependent on (1) development of the resumption plan and (2) current data on new COVID-19 cases.
Campus Recovery Implementation Team (CRIT)
This workgroup, just established, will support the Strategic Advisory Group (SAG) in providing analysis, data, and logistical/operational/implementation support.
Information for staff regarding coronavirus

The new job classification framework called Career Tracks aligns similar jobs internally at UCI, throughout the UC system, and externally with the marketplace, creating career pathways for staff. UCI is preparing now for the transition, which will be effective in October 2020. Information sessions via webinar for employees, will be held on June 9, 11, and 17. Additional information regarding the information sessions will be forthcoming via Zotmail.
The 2020 Spring check-in for staff is coming to a close. Spring check-ins were normally due to be completed by April 30, but there is a grace period in effect through May 31, due to COVID-19. Spring check-in covers performance in December, January, February, and March.
Staff Service Awards
This event, scheduled to take place on June 16, has been cancelled. Alternative options are currently being explored, more information to follow.
Employee Experience Center (EEC)
The EEC offers UCI employees across the enterprise a centralized point to access the most commonly used applications, hundreds of knowledge-based articles, and offers an employee self-service component related to HR, payroll and benefits inquiries and issues. More information can be found on the following page, https://eec.hr.uci.edu/
