FDA Recall of Blumen Clear Advanced Hand Sanitizer with 70% Alcohol

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently recommended a recall ofBlumenclear advanced hand sanitizer with 70% alcohol due to the product testing positive for methanol contamination. The FDA has advised consumers not to use this hand sanitizer. For more information from the FDA, please clickhere.
Two different sized bottles (7.5 oz. and 18 oz.)were distributed to the campus community to combat COVID-19. Please return this brand of hand sanitizer to your Building Facilities Manager or representative who provided you with the product so they can coordinate pickup of the product (do not throw away). As a reminder, please frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Replacement hand sanitizers will be distributed shortly.
