All UCI Employees Invited to Receive COVID-19 Vaccination

Section 1

April 5, 2021

Dear colleagues:

Thank you to everyone who has already received their COVID-19 vaccination(s). Your help in keeping UCI Working Well™ is greatly appreciated.

If you have not yet received your vaccination(s), you may schedule an appointment for the employee-only vaccination clinic at the Bren this coming Friday, April 9.

All employees, whether you work on-site or remotely, are eligible to be vaccinated. In addition, it is recommended that all employees be vaccinated, even if you have previously tested positive for COVID-19.

Employees who have not yet received any vaccination, as well as employees who received their first vaccination elsewhere but still need their second vaccination, may schedule an appointment.

Friday, April 9 may be our final exclusive employee vaccination clinic for first doses (second doses will continue to be administered to all employees who have received first doses through UCI), so you are encouraged to take advantage of this employee opportunity. We’ll be offering a limited number of single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccines as well as two-dose Moderna vaccines.

Watch for a vaccination invitation email from the UCI Campus Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Program. The email will arrive in the next 24 hours. Please check your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folder if you do not see the email in your inbox. Invitations will not be sent to employees who have previously opted out of receiving vaccination invitations.

All vaccinations will be administered at the Bren Events Center at the UCI campus. Parking is free in the Mesa parking structure, adjacent to the Bren. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled vaccination time.

For support, please contact the UCI COVID Response Center at 949.824.9918 or covid19@uci.edu.
