Housing Updates for April 9
April 9, 2021
Hello Housing Residents!
Spring quarter is well underway, and I hope it is going smoothly for you all. Those of you who left campus and returned at the start of the quarter have completed your 10-day sequester period and can return to normal activities, following campus guidelines. Weekly COVID testing is ongoing, so please get your required weekly test, as scheduled in the Student Health Portal: https://osh.chs.uci.edu.
Here is a reminder that beginning April 15th all individuals 16 and older will be eligible to receive the Covid vaccine in California. While vaccinations will not be available at the Student Health Center, appointments can be scheduled at many nearby locations. For more information, see the 4/1/21 email from Vice Chancellor Willie Banks, and visit the websites listed below. The FRESH Basic Needs Hub is providing transportation support for students who face financial barriers accessing a vaccine site.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) provides useful information for people who have been fully vaccinated at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/fully-vaccinated.html. Keep in mind, however, that campus policiestake precedence over federal guidelines.
Whether you are vaccinated or waiting for your shot(s), you are still expected to practice prevention measures. If you have questions about COVID-related matters on campus, visit the UCI Forward Coronavirus Information Hub.
If you have questions regarding these updates or other COVID-19-related issues in Housing, email them to HousingCovidQuestion@uci.edu.
