Vaccine reminder, testing exemption and test site closure
April 21, 2021
We are writing to provide you with several pieces of important information related to the COVID-19 vaccine and testing.
- Get your vaccination — On April 14, we sent a message with information on how to get your vaccine. If you need assistance seeking out a vaccine, please contact Contact Tracing and Vaccine Navigation Services (CTVNS) at 949.824.2300.
- Upload your vaccination record — If you have already received your COVID-19 vaccine, or once you receive it, please upload your vaccination record by visiting the UCI Student Health Center Patient Portal. Step-by-step instructions for uploading your vaccination record can be found here. If you need assistance uploading your vaccine record, contact CTVNS at 949.824.2300. While vaccines are not mandatory at this time, the campus anticipates that our ability to open the campus for Fall 2021 will be contingent on the number of vaccinated students.
- Testing exemption — Effective April 26, students who are fully vaccinated (14 days after their last shot) and upload their vaccination records are no longer required to participate in the Asymptomatic Testing Program. Students should expect to receive verification of their test exemption from the UCI Student Health Center (SHC) via secure messaging. The ZotPass will also reflect your exempt status within 24 hours of your verification. Students should continue testing until they receive verification from the SHC. Student athletes may still be required to test regularly based on their rules and regulations for competition. Student athletes should check with the UCI Intercollegiate Athletics for additional guidance on testing.
- Test site closure — Due to increased numbers of students receiving the vaccine, we will be closing the Vista Del Campo Testing Site effective Monday, April 26. Appointments will be moved to the Plaza Verde Community Center, Division of Continuing Education (DCE) Yosemite Room or the Prietto Sports Medicine Center (Student-Athletes only). If you wish to reschedule your appointment, visit the UCI Student Health Center Patient Portal.
Thank you for your cooperation with all of the campus requirements and recommendations that have kept the UCI community safe. We need to keep up the good work and encourage everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible. For questions or if you need assistance with finding a vaccination appointment, please contact 949.824.2300. #SleevesUpUCI
