Upload your vaccination record + important reminders!
Section 1
April 29, 2021
Hey Anteaters! We’ve had a great response with over 3,100 students uploading their COVID-19 vaccination records this week. Please be sure to upload your completed vaccination record as soon as you receive each dose. It is highly anticipated that vaccinations will be required before fall quarter 2021 begins.
Here’s some helpful information:
Get your vaccination — On April 14, we sent a message with information on how to get your vaccine. If you need assistance seeking out a vaccine, please contact Contact Tracing and Vaccine Navigation Services (CTVNS) at 949.824.2300, they can help you with finding an appointment and even make your appointment with you while you are on the phone.
Upload your vaccination record — Once you have received your COVID-19 vaccine, please upload your vaccination record to the UCI Student Health Center Patient Portal. Step-by-step instructions for uploading your vaccination record are provided here. Additionally, please view this short video tutorial that walks you through the upload process. If you need assistance uploading your vaccine record, contact CTVNS at 949.824.2300.
Get your second dose
Be sure to get your second dose. Many of you have reported receiving your first dose, and that is good news. However, for the maximum protection both doses are required. If you received your first dose in one area, but know you will be in another geographical area when it is time for your second dose, you can still call CTVNS at 949.824.2300 and they can help you get the second appointment.
Concerned about the vaccine? — You may be concerned about the side effects of the vaccine, but they are temporary and a natural immune response to the coronavirus. The more people that get the vaccine means everyone can get closer to a more normal life. For more information on vaccine hesitancy visit: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/expect/after.html.
While vaccines are not mandatory at this time, it is highly anticipated that vaccinations will be required before fall quarter 2021 begins, and the campus anticipates that our ability to significantly increase in-person instruction and campus housing occupancy for Fall 2021 will be contingent on the number of vaccinated students.
Testing exemption — Effective April 26, students who are fully vaccinated (14 days after their last shot) and upload their vaccination records are no longer required to participate in the Asymptomatic Testing Program. Students should expect to receive verification of their test exemption from the Contact Tracing and Vaccine Navigation Services via secure messaging. The ZotPass will also reflect your exempt status within 24 hours of your verification. Students should continue testing until they receive verification from the CTVNS. Student athletes may still be required to test regularly based on their rules and regulations for competition. Student athletes should check with UCI Intercollegiate Athletics for additional guidance on testing.
