UCI to Provide At-Home COVID Tests
Section 1
March 11, 2022
Dear Campus Community,
UCI will be providing all students and campus employees the opportunity to pick up two at-home COVID-19 antigen tests next week.
The tests will be distributed Monday, March 14 through Friday, March 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. while supplies last.
The tests can be picked up at the kiosk located just off West Peltason Drive between Campus Drive and Pereira Drive, adjacent to the Mesa Court housing parking lot. Please follow on-site directional signage.

Test kits will also be available at campus testing locations - Student Center and Plaza Verde during regular test site hours, as well as to student residents from their respective housing offices.
Please bring your ID or a copy of this ZotMail with you, either as a hard copy or on your phone.
If you use an at-home test and test positive, please do the following:
- Do not come on-site or stay in your room if you live on campus.
- Report your case by following instructions on the UCI Forward page.
- Go to the UCI Isolation and Quarantine web page for directions on isolation, quarantining and returning-to-campus clearance.
All students and employees may continue to test at any campus testing location for any reason in addition to using the at-home tests. Additionally, free COVID-19 test kits are also available for ordering from the federal government.
Student testing protocols for returning from spring break
As shared in yesterday’s email from the Provost, students who leave campus for spring break, regardless of vaccination status, should test 48 hours in advance of return by antigen or PCR test.
Students who are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines and booster are recommended to test at least once by home antigen or PCR test within 48 hours after returning to campus. These home antigen tests are a good option for meeting these testing recommendations.
Students who are not up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines are required to take two PCR tests through campus testing sites, five days apart, with the first test within 48 hours after returning to campus.
If you have questions, please contact UCI COVID Response Center (CRC) at covid19@uci.edu or 949-824-9918 Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Thank you for doing your part to keep our Anteater community well.
Sincerely,
Ramona Agrela
