VPN access method changes today
Starting at 5 p.m., Duo multi-factor authentication will be required to log onto UCI’s virtual private network from off-campus. Details can be found on UCI’s OIT website.
West Peltason road closure
Today through Friday, West Peltason Road will be closed from Academy Way to the Medical Science Service Road for emergency repairs to an underground high temperature water line. Please use East Peltason Road to Campus Drive as a detour to access the west side of campus.

UCI team develops faster COVID-19 test
Instead of the common wait time of 24 hours or more, a coronavirus test developed by John Chaput – professor of pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, and molecular biology and biochemistry – and Ph.D. student Kefan Yang delivers results in 60 minutes.
Fill ’er up – with electricity
During a Friday visit to campus, U.S. labor secretary Marty Walsh was shown an array of UCI sustainable transportation assets, including electric vehicle charging stations, a fully electric passenger bus, a pickup truck equipped with a mobile charging system, and a collection of electric vehicles.
