Vaccine exemption update
The guidelines for exemptions and deferrals to UC’s mandatory vaccination policy arrived on campus over the weekend and are being reviewed. Based on the guidelines, the campus will establish a process for filing exemption requests and will update the campus community as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience. In related news, 58% of UCI employees have already uploaded their vaccination records, as have nearly 50% of students.

Rams Training Camp information
The Los Angeles Rams Training Camp comes to UCI on July 28, and UCI Transportation has created a website to help fans with directions, navigating campus roadways and purchasing parking in advance.
UCI alum and regent temporarily joins Biden administration
California Community Colleges Chancellor Eloy Ortiz Oakley ’96, MBA ’99, who also serves as a UC regent, will join the Biden administration in a temporary role advising U.S. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona on higher education policy.
