Innovative Care When It’s Needed Most
The future UCI Medical Center will be an 800,000-square-foot hub for the Orange County community’s most pressing healthcare demands: medical inpatient, ambulatory and emergency services. The seven-floor structure – featuring a central plant and generous capacity for specialty services such as cancer treatment and outpatient surgery – will allow us to expand as needed to deliver high-quality care to every patient.
The hospital will provide 144 additional beds for oncology, neurological, orthopedic, digestive health and other services. It will also offer 20 treatment and isolation rooms for emergency services, radiology, CT and MRI suites for diagnostic imaging, eight operating rooms for surgeries and a handful of spaces for support services. These support services include a central lab and blood bank, meditation/waiting areas and hospital administration.
To ensure that patients and visitors can easily come and go, the North Campus facility will include a large parking garage located next to the Center for Advanced Care, with space for 1,350 cars.
